Synopsis

‎It tells the story of a Union Army lieutenant who travels to the U.S. border toward a remote military location and meets a group of Lacotta Indians. The film is credited with its leading role in the revival of Western films in Hollywood. The film was selected in 2007 to be preserved in the U.S. National Film Registry by the Library of Congress because of its "cultural, historical, and aesthetic significance."‎
