Synopsis

‎A letter arrives at the butler Stevens from Mrs. Kenton, the housekeeper The former who worked for the English Lord (Darlington) in her youth, tells ‎‎ Stevens hopes that she can be re-included in the staff of Darlington Palace and its new American owner, Mr. Faraday, due to the severe shortage of users at present, and because of the changing economic and social conditions from the aristocratic life they lived with their former employer.‎
