Synopsis

‎Maggie (Meg Ryan), a heart surgeon living in Los Angeles, doesn't believe in Angels on earth, she believes that her profession is what makes her able to save lives. At the hospital, Maggie meets the angel Seth (Nicolas Cage) and finds‎‎ in her soul a great attraction towards him. Their relationship develops; Seth feels a strange affection for Maggie for which he cannot find an explanation. He discovers that Missinger, a man who is sick in the hospital, can see him, and learns from him that he was an angel in the past, but he gave up his abilities to turn into a human, so Seth decides to do the same in order to enjoy the love of Maggie.‎
