A charming Cuban singer named Rita and a talented but unemployed pianist named Chico, Chico falls in love with Rita when he sees her on stage. But their romantic and professional relationship is jeopardized and about to be fractured when the Yankee boss offers Rita to take her to glory and fame by working with him in New York, but without Chico.
