An old man living in the Icelandic countryside, becomes unable to continue to manage his farm, feels unwelcome in the dwelling of his daughter and son-in-law. He goes to a retirement home in Reykjavik, where he meets a girlfriend from his younger days, and they plan to escape to the wilds of Iceland.
