A journalist, from the United States, carried his luck and rushed to El Salvador to record the events and events of the 1980 military dictatorship, including the assassination of Archbishop Oscar Romero. He forms an uncomfortable alliance with both the Rif fighters who want him to get the photos and get them to American newspapers, and the right-wing army, which wants him to make them pictures of the rebels. At the same time, he has to find a way to protect his Salvadoran girlfriend and get her out of the country.
