The ambassador of the Latin American Republic of Miranda – M. Taivino, his wife Simon, and sister Florence – arrive at a dinner party at the home of Alicescinshall and her husband Henry only to discover that they missed the date of the ceremony. In Luispanwall's surreal fantasy, these six bourgeois people gather frequently around a dinner table where no food is served at all.
