In Chicago in the thirties, the economic recession, Arthur Parker sells musical notes, but he finds problems in marketing those musical notes to music store owners, which caused him depression, especially with being married, he meets in a store (Elaine) the school of beautiful innocent music, and a friendship grows between them that turns into deep love.
