Synopsis

‎In the winter of 1942-1943, a Jewish family jumps from a train passing through Silesia.The family disperses in the forest, and Leon, a local peasant who is now a wealthy farmer and content with some wealth, discovers with the woman Rosa, whom he hides in his basement. Leon is a middle-aged Catholic bachelor, tormented by his sex drive. He does not tell Rosa that he has seen evidence that her husband is alive, and begs her to love him. Rosa introduces herself to Lyon on the condition that he will help a local Jew hide and who needs money. Leon agrees and love develops between him and Rosa, but due to his limited dealings and sympathy lead to tragedy.‎
