A film set in the sixties, in 1962 at the height of the Cuban Missile Crisis, a British professor living in Los Angeles, finds it very difficult to adapt to life itself after one of his close friends suddenly dies, and even wonders whether life itself matters after the death of his best friend (Jim) or not?
