Synopsis

‎The film takes place in one of the Egyptian villages, the village of Ramlet Al-Anjab in 1933, its people are surprised by a government decision to reduce the irrigation shift to 5 days instead of 10 days, so the mayor informs the peasants that the irrigation shift has become equally with the lands of Mahmoud Bey feudal, so the men of the village meet to consult and agree to submit a petition to the government through Mohamed Effendi and Mahmoud Bey, but he takes advantage of the situation and their signatures to create a way to his secret through their agricultural land, but the peasants revolt - led by Mohamed Abu Swailem - in defense of Their land and throw iron in the water, so the government sends Haggana forces to control the village by declaring a curfew, and the land is taken from them by force, and Mohamed Abu Swailem confronts the security forces and is dragged on the ground while trying to cling to the roots ‎
