Bad Education, a film based on the true story of the biggest theft of an American school,it's about the $11 million scandal at the Roslyn School District. The prime suspects are Frank Tassone (Hugh Jackman) and Pam Glockin (Alison Janney). Frank Tassone, a superintendent of Roslyn district schools who genuinely cares about the condition of students and does what is best for them, remembers everyone's names, and cares excessively about his physical appearance. Pam Glockin is a hardworking and reliable woman at work. So far, everything is going smoothly until a student start writing a newspaper article on the financial side of the school.
Bad Education is very captivating, for some the first 30 minutes of it may seem a little boring, in fact, nothing happens, we don't know what's going on, but it is building the characters and lays the foundation stone, after that the film jumps and changes its tone, then it makes you immediately hang to the end, where it shows you another side of the characters, and reveals the story to you through a school student. After finishing watching I was surprised to know that this is the second film directed by Cory Finley, he did a very good job.
Hugh Jackman is simply the favorite part of the film, because of his deep acting and facial expressions, we see as the film progresses, how the shadows of his character change clearly and appropriately to complete the course of his story part with excellence, for me, this is the best act of Hugh after Les Misérables (2012), Prisoners (2013). And let us not forget about Alison Janney she always delivers good performance.
