It is the second release in the exterminator series, a sequel to the 1984 film Pesticide. The film follows Sarah Connor (Hamilton) and her ten-year-old son John Connor (Forlong) as they try to escape from a new, more sophisticated pesticide, T-1000 (Patrick), who was sent through time to kill John Connor and prevent him from becoming the leader of human resistance in the future. A second, less sophisticated pesticide (Schwarzenegger) is also sent over time to protect John.
