Synopsis

‎The film begins with FBI intern Clarice Starling (Jodie Foster) training in the woods, a policeman comes to ask her to appear in front of FBI chief Jack Crawford (Scott Glen), and when she arrives, he tells her that he chose her even though she is an intern because of her excellence in study, the psychology degrees she holds, and because he remembers that she argued strongly with him in one of his lectures at the university. She is offered to meet a psychiatrist, a psychologist named Hannibal Lecter (Anthony Hopkins), to study his case as a serial killer, which may serve in the study of similar cases, and assigns her to submit a questionnaire to him at his place of house arrest under heavy guard at the Baltimore Psychiatric Hospital on charges of eating people. After meeting Blecter, Clarice discovers that Crawford, through Cutter's admiration for Claris, seeks to show her a serial killer known as "Bill the Ripper" who is involved in the murder of several young women. Licter is very kind to Clarence, although he occasionally provokes her by diagnosing her using clever and selective words.‎
