Sound of Metal: A story that immerses its viewers in quiet and trouble

Sound of Metal (2019) 

‎The story of the film about the drummer (Robin) who begins to lose his hearing, and it becomes his main concern that dominate his future - one of the best screenplays and performances of the year. ‎

‎The film is a slow pace, but the theme of the story is more important than everything, as it sheds light on the deaf community, and makes us understand more about what deaf people live and the difficulties they face from finding work to communicating with others or their psychological state.‎

 

 

‎The good and coherent story caught my attention a lot, without forgetting the pictorial work and the terrific audio montage, which was enough to convey and tell us the story of a person who experiences a situation of changes and difficulties, there is a kind of realism in this work, and the way they try to make us empathize and sense the world around us as a person who is deaf, for example through close-ups shots of the character while we listen in the background to unclear voices and voices that jump from noise to complete silence, but there is more than this, we have a good understanding and development. In the main character arch. played by the actor (Riz Ahmed), we can clearly feel him shift from a state of denial to acceptance and notice the amount of anger he stores inside him, because we believe with him that he is losing the most important things that represent a part of his identity is in this life. His emotions have become unstable, and his addiction is manifesting... A state of internal conflict and we all wonder with him what path will he be taken but we kind of know. - Frankly, the actor performed a very digestible character for the viewer so it can be easily understood, and all this can also be understood from the decisions he makes, especially the ending that concluded and told its last words and everything with a clear message to the viewer with such a wonderful, beautiful scene.‎ this is a beautiful story, well written well shot with good sound editing.
