a coherent scenario with underrated acting
Bad Education (2019)
Review by Idris
Bad Education is very captivating, for some the first 30 minutes of it may seem a little boring, in fact, nothing happens, we don't know what's going on, but it is building the characters and lays the foundation stone, after that the film jumps and changes its tone, then it makes you immediately hang to the end, where it shows you another side of the characters, and reveals the story to you through a school student. After finishing watching I was surprised to know that this is the second film directed by Cory Finley, he did a very good job.
Hugh Jackman is simply the favorite part of the film, because of his deep acting and facial expressions, we see as the film progresses, how the shadows of his character change clearly and appropriately to complete the course of his story part with excellence, for me, this is the best act of Hugh after Les Misérables (2012), Prisoners (2013). And let us not forget about Alison Janney she always delivers good performance.
Conclusion
An almost perfect character study by Hugh Jackman, how he conveyed to us the experience of a person, that look good and lovable but does something bad to shock everyone by it and break people's trust. In short, the beauty of this film lies in the wonderful performance of actors like Hugh Jackman and OfCourse in the script by writers Mike Makowsky and Robert Kolker, which makes you feel for a moment that the film is a figment of imagination and not a real story. I really appreciate this work.
The original school where the incident occurred refused to shoot the film.
The writer confirmed that he had many experiences that were embodied in the work during high school.
